5 Easy Tips for Getting the Most Out of Biznik

Thanks for the great tips from a few friends yesterday. I posted an article yesterday on Biznik and now I am featured on the front page! Check it out on http://biznik.com/

Here are 5 tips I have for getting the most out of Biznik:

1) Post an Article with a title that will add value and benefit to the business communities – My article posted yesterday is now featured on the front page Tuesday!

2) Post a Promotion for your products, services or events (e.g. http://biznik.com/members/edith-yeung/promotions/30-off-discount-to-biztechday-oct-25-san-francisco-meet-tim-ferriss-and-dan-mccomb-live)

3) Create an Event on Biznik

4) Update your profile and make sure you answer the following questions:

  • What you do best
  • What you do
  • What do you need?
  • Experience

5) Upload a Professional Looking Picture – I think a good looking head shot of you will help your professional image

BTW – you can learn more about these technique on BiztechDay on October 25, in San Francisco Hilton, where you will also meet author Tim Ferriss (4-Hour Work Week) and Biznik Cofounders Dan McComb and Lara Eve Feltin in person.

  1. Hi Edith,

Great tips. Here’s another that I find really works: If you have just 10 minutes a day and want to maximize your online business networking on Biznik, read an article that catches your eye and post a thoughtful comment that either:

    1) Advances the discussion.
    2) Poses a question to the author.
    3) Contributes to and adds detail to the article
    4) Challenges the author on a point.

Sometimes you can do all 4 in a single comment! The point of this is that comments are a fantastic way to show that you know something about a topic, are an interesting person who takes the time to share what you know, and that you have something to say. Every time you posts comments like this, you are building your reputation. And that’s a big part of what online business networking is all about.

I hope to meet a lot of you at BiztechDay!

    Dan

  2. Edith,

Just a sincere “thank you” for the work you are doing to help others that are looking / struggling to achieve and live their dreams.

I am one of those people that have put my live savings into a dream and am now feeling the pressure of needing a lift.

I looked at maybe 50 sites last night that seemed to provide clear, valuable, effective and no nonsense tips, and it was really disappointing to see the lack of value and the mistrust enbedded in so many of the sites I visited.

I found your site by a co-worker, David Pitta, who mentioned you and your work on a webcast he ran through BrightTALK. He spoke very highly of the quality and sincerity of your work, and after reading through your site, I can see why.

It’s a beautiful thing when you find someone that has a passion for helping others, and a purity of passion that can be seen through both their words and their work.

May you be abundantly blessed, for all the work you are doing to help others.
